Bridging Worlds: A Scientist's Palette of Nature and Imagination
'I am a contemporary artist with scientific background, formerly trained as a bioscience researcher and educator. I am passionate to communicate scientific and philosophical ideas to the public with visual art.Recently I have been in love with the mountains and the rocks. I feel deeply connected with nature while I am out rock climbing and I wish to express this connection through my artwork.
In this modern age, we are preoccupied by the busy schedule of day-to-day life to notice the beautiful world around us. My goal as an artist is to use images and words to remind us how colourful and wonderful the world is. Using ink, watercolour and colour pencils, my work infiltrates real-life objects into an imaginary setting. I also experiment with patterns created by simple lines and shapes, and creates intriguing atmosphere by blending and contrasting bright opposing colours. Using these skills I work to visualize logic and connections, creating networks between abstract and reality.'
